Library
The Alberta Genealogical Society Edmonton Branch is a unique destination library for all family history researchers.
The library features over 6,000 items on family research, including family and local histories, "how-to" books, periodicals, topographical and historical maps, family history files, microfilm, microfiche, digital databases and more.
The library is staffed by volunteers who endeavour to help patrons with their queries and can provide suggestions to further research.

As documents and records continue to be digitized in Alberta and worldwide, we are working to bring more digital resources to our members. Whether in our library or from home, we have several subscription-based and AGS-owned research databases available, including:

Hours of Operation
Please check our calendar regularly to confirm our library hours.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

3rd Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Exceptions: closed Canada Day, Remembrance Day & the Christmas break: 3 weeks from mid-December.

Please note that the library will be closed from Friday, December 13, 2024 until Monday January 6, 2025. The library will reopen on Tuesday, January 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. |
