Special Interest Group Leader
Do you have a passion for collaborating with fellow family history researchers? We’re looking for volunteers to lead and host our Special Interest Groups! Position Summary
Special Interest Group (SIG) Leaders schedule and host meetings every other month or two with fellow genealogists for a particular research area. They coordinate speakers to meet in person or on Zoom (hybrid meetings are available, too!) SIG Leaders often find it valuable to work in pairs or teams to coordinate meetings and speakers. What it means to volunteer as Special Interest Group LeaderOur SIGs are one of the most productive benefits of being a member of AGS. SIGs support research, information sharing, and collaboration among family history researchers. In this role, you will greatly impact family history researchers through regular meetings and coordinating presentations or discussion topics to further members’ research skill sets across the area of interest.
